Un nou estudi del Centre d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 de la Malaltia de l\u2019Alzheimer de la Cl\u00ednica Mayo de Rochester, a Estats Units, assegura que <strong>aquesta pauta d\u2019alimentaci\u00f3 pot reduir el risc de deteriorament cognitiu<\/strong> de les persones grans.<\/p>\n<p>Per arribar a aquesta conclusi\u00f3, els investigadors van mesurar el gruix cortical de v\u00e0ries regions del cervell de 672 persones d\u2019entre 70 i 89 anys que no patien cap tipus de dem\u00e8ncia. A m\u00e9s, els van sotmetre a proves de mem\u00f2ria, llenguatge, habilitats espacials i els van preguntar per la seva dieta. El resultat va ser que els participants que seguien patrons de la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia, especialment els que menjaven m\u00e9s llegums i peix, tenien m\u00e9s gruix cortical als l\u00f2buls frontals del cervell. \u00c9s a dir,<strong> estaven m\u00e9s protegits del deteriorament cognitiu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sorprenentment, aquesta tesi tamb\u00e9 es pot aplicar a <strong>persones de qualsevol edat i de qualsevol part del m\u00f3n<\/strong>, independentment que visquin fora de la regi\u00f3 mediterr\u00e0nia, segons ha confirmat recentment un grup de cient\u00edfics del Centre de Psicofarmacologia Humana de la Universitat Swinburne de Tecnologia a Melbourne, Austr\u00e0lia. Els experts han analitzat 18 estudis realitzats entre el 2000 i el 2015 sobre com la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia afecta els processos cognitius amb el pas del temps.<\/p>\n<p>Les persones que segueixen aquesta pauta d\u2019alimentaci\u00f3 milloren la <strong>capacitat d\u2019atenci\u00f3, la mem\u00f2ria i l\u2019habilitat amb el llenguatge<\/strong>. En resum, tenen un declivi cognitiu molt m\u00e9s lent que altre persones en les seves mateixes circumst\u00e0ncies per\u00f2 que no segueixen aquesta dieta, a m\u00e9s de tenir una <strong>menor incid\u00e8ncia d\u2019Alzheimer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La dieta mediterr\u00e0nia es caracteritza per l\u2019<strong>\u00fas d\u2019oli d\u2019oliva verge com a greix principal<\/strong> i l\u2019<strong>abund\u00e0ncia d\u2019aliments vegetals, com verdures, hortalisses, fruites, llegums, cereals i fruits secs<\/strong>. En canvi, redueix el consum de carns vermelles a canvi d\u2019augmentar el d\u2019aus, sempre en quantitats petites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Les virtuts de la dieta
